Origin/meaning

The anchor and waves is to show that Elat is a port located on the Red Sea. The wheel is to symbolized industry. The castle tower is to indicate Elat is an outpost and/or it symbolises the Crusader castle south of the city, just across the border in Sinai, Egypt.
