History: Formed as the Glasgow University Air Squadron, renamed on January 1, 1963 as University of Glasgow and Strathclyde Air Squadron.
Official blazon
In front of a sword erect argent hilted Or the point upwards a grey dove volant in bend holding in the beak a sprig of olive vert fructed sable.
Motto: In utrumque paratus = Prepared for either event.
Origin/meaning
The Sword indicates preparedness for War and the Dove is a sign of the desire for peace. The Badge was granted in June 1948.
