Escudo de prata, barco de azul mastreado, cordoado e vestido do mesmo, realçado do campo, tendo dois corvos de negro, um à proa e outro à popa; em contra-chefe, ponte de vermelho lavrada de negro, movente dos flancos e de um pé ondado de azul e prata de três tiras. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco, com a legenda a negro: “ S. VICENTE DO PAUL “.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on March 8, 2001.
The two ravens and the ship are the symbols of St. Vincent, the local patron saint. The bridge symbolises the very old bridge in the parish over the Alviela river.
