Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 25, 1974.

The arms symbolise the fact that the local church is devoted to the Holy Mary of the Seven Sorrows. The fleur-de-lis is the symbol of ST. Mary, the 7 crosses refer to the sorrows.

Literature : Baumert, H.E. : Oberösterreichische Gemeindewappen, Linz, 1996.
