The arms were officially granted on  January 5, 1983.
 
The arms show the bars of the oldest counts of Luxembourg, who ruled the village at least already in the 11th century. The black cross refers to the different abbeys (in Munster and Verdun), who had possessions in the area.
 
The plane refers to Findel airport, the international airport of Luxembourg, in the municipality.

The arms were officially granted on January 5, 1983.
