Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 20, 1992.

These arms are new, like the municipality (it was created in 1990 from a part of El Perelló; in fact L'Ampolla was the seaside town grown because of the tourism, that reached more and more importance, and segregated itself from the inland village). The chapé in the arms is intended to mean a harbour where the navigator can find a safe refuge, and the lighthouse stands for the fishing and tourist port.
