The arms were officially granted on July 17, 1984.

The silver point refers to the fact that the area was a border between the Imst and Landeck courts. The three horseshoes refer to the famous local farmers that helped to carry travellers and loads on the steep roads near Lasalt and Gstoag in the municipality during the centuries.
