Origin/meaning

The origin of the name Breuillet is recalled by the bordure. The bordure is embattled to symbolise the brick and tile industry, which used to be of great importance for the town.

The grapes symbolise the former vineyards, the mill iron and waves the former water mills in the municipality. The bell is taken from the arms of Saint-Yon, to which the area historically belonged.
