Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on October 23, 1996.
e colour green represents the richness of the land, the economic base of the municipality. The wings refer to the parish’s patron saint, the Archangel Michael. The municipality’s name is represented by the small shield depicting the arms associated with the Drummond family from Scotland. The potato plant symbolizes the principal resource of the municipality.
The motto means means “May it live, flourish, and grow” and alludes to the potato plant and, by extension, the principal industry of the municipality.
