Wappen von Wil/Arms of Wil

Official blazon

Geteilt von Gelb mit wachsendem rotem Löwen und von Grün mit drei fünfstrahligen weissen Sternen.

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted on July 27, 1950.

The lion in the upper half is the lion of the Counts of Habsburg, and stands for the city of Laufenburg, which owned the area for a long time. The stars symbolise the villages Wil, Oedenholz and Egg.
