Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on November 13, 2020.
The fields of gold and red as well as the silver bend underlines the attachment of the village to Lorraine. The bar symbolises the meander of the Loison river which surrounds the peninsula where the village is established.
The traditional trades of the village are recalled: that of fishing in the Loison, that of weaver by the golden shuttle and finally that of stonemason with the mallet.
The black-spotted white cow illustrates the importance of the village's cattle herd, especially Holstein dairy cows. The seeds are fruit of the boxwood which bursts to throw the seeds, illustrate the occurrence of boxwood in the forest of Han-les-Juvigny.
Below the shield the golden label represents the former local manor. The branches are those of willows which border the Loison.
