ADUTIŠKIS
County : Vilnius
Municipality : Švenčionys
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on February 15, 2006.
The arms refers to Adutiškis being the most eastern (in northern half of Lithuania) stronghold of Lithuanian identity in times of Polish regime (1920-1939) and reminds the Lithuanian custom of the Vilnius county: performing protest actions mounted and with banners or bands of national colours. In particular, people of Adutiškiswere repressed by Polish police in 1930 and in 1936 due to such actions.
