Official blazon
Un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, spintecat, cu șef. În șef, în câmp albastru, se află un soare de aur, la dreapta, și o semilună de argint, la stânga, ambele figurate. În câmpul din dreapta, pe fond verde, se află o crenguță de fag, cu o frunză și un jir, de aur. În câmpul din stânga, pe fond roșu, se află o vază de argint. Scutul este trimbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on January 19, 2006.
The branch signifies the presence of beech forests; beech refers to the name of the locality (beech = bukk, Bixad = Bukszad, in Hungarian).
The vase represents the glass factory. The sun symbolizes the courage and dignity of the inhabitants, and the moon, the desire for peace and purity.
The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
