District/county (județ) : Ilfov
Official blazon
Un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, având în câmp albastru un personaj în vârstă, cu barbă și plete, îmbrăcat cu haină monahală, stând în picioare și citind o tipăritură veche, totul de argint. Mâna dreaptă este ridicată și ține la ochi o pereche de ochelari. Scutul este trimbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on October 4, 2007.
The arms refer to the name of the locality and represents at the same time its foundation through the donation deed from 1795 of the owner Ianache Dascălul, to a monk named Ioanache Monahul, from the Pantelimon Monastery.
The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
