Origin/meaning

These arms have been officially granted on 9th April 1987.

The dragon is the attribute of St. Margaret, the local patron saint. The arms of Catalonia-Aragon (four pales Gules on Or) remind the royal jurisdiction over the village, that belonged to the kings until 1381, and from 1642 until the extinction of feudal jurisdictions, in the 19th century.
