MURI
Canton : Aargau
Official blazon
In Rot zweireihige, schwarz gefugte weisse Mauer mit drei Zinnen.
Origin/meaning
The arms are derived from the arms of the Muri Abbey, which were already used in the 13th century. The wall (Mauer) is a canting element. The arms were adopted for the new municipality after the merger of 7 villages in 1816, which was named after the abbey.
