Gules, the monogram of Mary interlaced and surmounted by a Latin cross argent.

Origin/meaning

The bishop had no personal arms and used the same arms as his predecessors.

However, a vague, image of arms appears in the Proceedings of the First Synod of Hartford (1855), showing different arms with the motto of the Irish O'Reilly clan:
