Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in 1989.
The arms are those of the Sallier family, which owned several estates in the municipality for many centuries. The colours of the shield were, however, inversed. The lion holds a cross, a symbol for the local patron saint, St. Peter. The cross is held upside down as a symbol for the crucifixion of the apostle.
