Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on September 26, 1991.

The arms show elements for the three former municipalities. The cross refers to the Order of St. John, which had possessions in all three villages. In the 13th century Prince Bishop Hermann von Lobdeburg sold his possessions to the Order which owned it until 1806.

The wheatears are taken from the old arms of Westheim and also indicate the agricultural character of the village.

The base is taken from the arms of the Lords von Seinsheim-Schwarzenberg and refers to their possessions in Kaltensondheim.
