Origin/meaning
The arms were officially designed in the mid 1990s.
The bear's claw is a canting element (Bär=bear, Klau=claw). The name however probably means boar-feet, the Dutch word beer meaning both boar as bear (the village was founded by Dutch settlers). The meaning of the silver and green I don't know.
Unfortunately we have no information on the meaning or origin of these arms yet.
