Origin/meaning

The arms have not been officially granted.

The combined cherry and apple tree indicates the importance of fruit tree cultivation in the region. The division of the shield symbolises the two villages of Hohenleipisch and Dreska. Hohenpeipisch is symbolised by the jug, symbolising the pottery tradition in the village. The basket refers to Dreska, which has a tradition of willow basket weaving.
