Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on January 11, 1999.
The green field and the wheat-ears refer to the estate farm established in around 700 in the village and to agriculture in general. The wheel is a canting element (Wagen) and also a symbol for the wheelwrights which were active in the village in previous centuries.
The candles are a symbol for St. Blasius, the local patron saint since 1730.
