Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description: A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height overall blazoned as follows: SHIELD: Per chevron Gules and Azure, in bse a pale Argent charged with a sword erect Or, overall on a chevron enhanced of the third a chevronnel Gules (Soldier Red). CREST: On a wreath Argent and Gules, a lion's head erased of the first, charged on the neck with four fusils of the second. Attached below the device, a blue scroll inscribed "SUSTINEO PORRO" in Gold.

Origin/meaning
