Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description: A Gold color metal and enamel device 11/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned as follows: Sable, an eagle's head erased within an annulet, in chief a sword point down and key ward to base saltirewise Or,; a brodure Buff chagred with thirteen mullets Azure. Attqached below the shield is a light blue scroll doubled and inscribed "SERVICE TO VICTORY" in Gold.
Origin/meaning
Buff and light blue are the colours of the Quartermaster Corps. The Sword and Key are from the emblem of the Quartermaster Corps. The stars on the brodure represents the original 13 Colonies that formed the USA. The Eagle's Head are indicative of the US National Spirit and the Defence of its Freedoms.
The Coat of Arms and Distinctive Unit Insignia was approved on 27 June 2005.
