MENZELEN
State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Wesel (until 1974 Moers)
Amt : Amt Alpen-Veen (until 1969)
Incorporated into : 1969 Alpen
German | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on December 11, 1962.
The arms show the black cross of the State of Köln, as the village historically was a possession of the Archbishops of Köln. The sceptre is the symbol of St. Walburgis, the patron saint of the church of Menzelen.
