Wappen von Geraberg/Arms (crest) of Geraberg
Official blazon

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 5, 1994.

The municipality was created from the two former municipalities of Gera and Arlesberg. Gera is represented in the upper half by the wavy chevron, symbolising the Gera river. The word 'gera' is derived from gero, meaning curve. The mountain in the base symbolises Arlesberg, Berg means mountain. The two pine trees also symbolise the two villages and the forests in the area. The cross is taken from the seal of the local church in Gera.
