SANTA OLIVA

Region : Catalonia
Province : Tarragona

Escudo de Santa Oliva/Arms (crest) of Santa Oliva
Official blazon
Catalan Escut caironat: d'or, un castell de sinople obert sobremuntat d'un ram d'olivera de sinople fruitat de sable. Per timbre una corona mural de poble.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 3, 1989.

The arms show the local castle (that, since the 17th century, has become the sanctuary of El Remei) and, above, a canting sign: a branch of olive tree, alluding to the name of the village.
