Official blazon

Escudo medio partido y cortado. Primero, de plata, un tejo de sinople. Segundo, de gules, dos báculos de oro. Tercero, de azur, un puente de plata de cuatro ojos sobre ondas de plata y azur. Al timbre corona real de España.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 2006.

The tree symolises the forets on the Monte Hijedo mountain. The two crosiers refer to two locals who became high church officials (a bishop and archbishop). The base symbolises the bridges over the Ebro river in the municipality.
