Origin/meaning

Moriviller historically war ruled by three religious entities and the arms show elements from the arms of these entities. The Chapter of the Collegiate Church in Saint-Dié is represented by the blue bend with roses; the monastery of Saint-Jean-du-Vieil-Aître in Nancy, which belonged to the Knights of the Order of Hospitallers of Saint John of Jerusalem, by the red crosses, and the Bouxières Abbey by the crosier.
