Origin/meaning

The arms supposedly show Queen Barbara Radziwiłł, Queen of Poland from 1547-1551 and Grand Duchess of Lithuania as consort of Sigismund II Augustus. According to legend she often visited the area.

The flower is a potato plant, a major crop in the region.
