Motto: Spes aspera levat

Origin/meaning

From the Arms of Rear Admiral Sir James Ross, who commanded HMS Explorer in the Unsuccessful search for the Franklin Expedition in the Arctic in the Years 1858-1854. The Latin Motto Translates as "Hope lightens difficulties". The BAdge was approved in a Pentagon Frame in 1923 and in a Round Frame in 2001.
