Origin/meaning
From the Arms of Rear Admiral Sir Philip Broke (1776-1841) commanded HMS Shannon against USS Chesapeake in 1813 and defeated her. The Latin Motto translates as "Let us keep the dread trident". The badge was appoved on 9 May 1923.
