Born : October 21, 1953

Bishop of Tacuarembó, 2018-present
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The seven-pointed silver star reminds us to contemplate the celestial and future realities in the midst of the earthly and present. The redemption worked in Jesus by his blood shed on the Cross (Col. 1,14-15) -lower field in red- opens us to the new heaven and new earth (Rev. 21.1) -the upper field in blue-, what we want to reach.
The motto Para que Jesu Cristo sea el primero en todo means That Jesus Christ may be the first in everything. (Col. 1,18).
