Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on November 30, 1961.
The chevrons are derived from the arms of the Counts of Hanau-Lichtenberg, who ruled the village until the end of the 18th century. The frog (Frosch) is a canting symbol. Compare also Hohfröschen.
