Origin/meaning
The dice symbolises the commerce and the prosperous economy, the compass represents the manufacturing industry, Sesto hosted "advanced" industries for centuries, from glass (historical) to helicopters (modern).
The name of the town is derived from the Roman tradition to held the market on the sixth (Sesto) day of the "Calende" period (original name Sextum calendorum).
