Origin/meaning
From the Arms of William thompson, Baron Kelvin (1824-1907). Inventor of the Sounding Machine and Mariner's Compass. He was also Chief Electrician for the Underwater Cables laid Worlwide. The Badge was approved on 25 April 1939.
