Region : Catalonia
Province : Tarragona
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on September 22, 1989.
La Bisbal del Penedès was conceded, in the 11th century, to the monastery of Sant Cugat del Vallès (this is symbolized by the mitre in the first partition). Later the village became a barony; the second partition shows the arms of the Salbà family, the barons of La Bisbal: a silver eagle embellished in red, and at the top of the arms there is also a baron crown.
