Origin/meaning

The heraldic fountains (springs) on golden ´fields´are canting for the See city and the diocese. The cross is for the Christian Faith. The silver crescent in the centre honors the Blessed Virgin Mary, in her title of the Immaculate Conception, titular of the cathedral (see Revelation 12:1).
