De sinople au coq hardi et chantant d'argent, becqué, crêté, barbé et membré de gueules.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in 1922.
The rooster is taken from the arms of the Macognin family, lords of Mordes in the first half of the seventeenth century. It is also seem as a symbol of vigilance.
The colours are those of the Vaud canton.
