KRONSTORF
State : Oberösterreich
District : Linz-Land
Official blazon
- (de) Geteilt; oben in Rot eine silberne Hirschstange, unten in Silber drei rote, aus dem Schildfuß aufsteigende Flammen.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on July 28, 1969.
The upper half shows a deer antler, taken from the arms of the Feucht family. The family acquired the local castle in 1409 and held it in its possession for more than a century. During this period the Hungarians invaded Austria and they established a stronghold in the area, the Tettauer Schanze (wall of Tettau), named after Lord Tettau, who commanded the stronghold. The arms of the Tettau family is shown in the lower half. The flames at the same time symbolise the fighting.
