English | Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Per fess rayonne enhanced and irregular Argent and semi of flames Or, therefrom rising a demi-devil figure Azure reguardant grasping in his sinister hand a trident Argent. Attached below the shield a Blue scroll inscribed “BURLINGTON” in Silver letters. |
Origin/meaning
Blue and white are the school colors. The blue devil is the school mascot and reflects the challenging role of the cadets.
The Shoulder Loop Insignia was approved on 11 January 1999.
