Official blazon

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a white shield edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) red border a red bulldog affronté detailed white and gorged with a white spiked collar surmounted in lower right by a yellow demi-torch flamant Proper. Attached below the shield a white scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) red border inscribed “BULLDOGS” in red letters. The overall dimensions are 3 inches (7.62 cm) in height by 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width.

Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a silver arrowhead, the base forming a scroll inscribed “CRESTVIEW” in red letters and charged with a red demi-bulldog affronté detailed silver and gorged with a silver spiked collar.

Origin/meaning

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: Red and white are the school colors. The bulldog is the school mascot. The four spikes on the dog’s collar represent the cadets’ dedication to self, family, school and community. The torch symbolizes a learning environment between faculty and students.

Shoulder Loop Insignia: Red and white (silver) are the school colors. The bulldog is the school mascot. The arrowhead reflects the Native American heritage of Okaloosa County, location of the school. “Okaloosa” is a Native American word meaning “dark waters.”

The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia was approved on 2 February 1995. The Shoulder Loop Insignia was approved on 7 March 1995.
