WATERBERG SKIBOAT CLUB

Coat of arms (crest) of Waterberg Skiboat Club

Official blazon

  • (af) In blou, 'n goue seevlakvark, in die skildvoet vergesel van silwer golwende tweelingbalke.
  • (en) Azure, a sea-warthog Or, in base bars gemelles wavy Argent.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 20, 1991.

The Waterberg district is part of the north-western Transvaal bushveld where warthogs, local " wild boars" are still found in the wild. Despite living hundreds of kilometers from the coast, the Waterberg has an ardent group of fishermen who regularly take their ski boats down to the coast for some sea fishing.
