SANKT WILLIBALD
State : Oberösterreich
District : Schärding
German | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 16, 1986.
The diamonds are taken from the arms of Bavaria and refer to the fact that the village was a longtime part of Bavaria. The bend symbolises the Moosbach river. The arrows are the symbol of St. Willibald, the local patron saint.
Literature : Baumert, H.E. : Oberösterreichische Gemeindewappen, Linz, 1996.
