SOUTH STAFFORDSHIRE WATER
Official blazon
Arms: Sable, on a pile harry wavy argent and azure, fimbriated vert, a Stafford knot Or, all between three fountains.
Crest: On a wreath argent and vert, issuant from water a mound of sand, thereon a knot (Calidris canutus) in winter plumage, all proper.
Motto: Nil sine aqua
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on November 20, 1964 to the South Staffordshire Waterworks Company.
The knot is the emblem of the town and borough of Stafford as well as the wider county of Staffordshire.
