Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a green shield edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border a bald eagle stooping proper. Attached below the shield a green scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border inscribed “SOUTH PIKE” in yellow letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 3 inches (7.62 cm) in width.
Origin/meaning
Green and yellow are the school colors. The bald eagle represents the dedication of the cadets to the service of the school, community and country. The keystone shaped shield symbolizes the link between scholastic achievement, physical health and citizenship.
The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia was approved on 2 July 1999.
