LIMEUX (CHER)
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The elm trees are canting elements dor the name of the town (from the Latin lemos which means elm).
The chevron gules comes from the coat of arms of the De Dorsanne family who acquired the castle of Saragosse in the municipality in 1604.
The horse's head is the attribute of Saint Martin, the local patron saint. The ears of wheat represent the agricultural character of the municipality.
