ION NECULCE
District/county (județ) : Iași
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on March 26, 2014.
The arms are based on the coat of arms of the Neculce family, which owned boyar courtyards and a church in the village of residence.
The resting lion represents the tomb of the chronicler Ion Neculce, located next to the wooden church in the village cemetery of the same name.
The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
