GEOAGIU
District/county (județ) : Hunedoara
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on February 14, 2007.
The uprooted tall oak and the fountain mean the natural and tourist resources of the area, known for its therapeutic mineral springs, as well as for its forest richness.
The fountain and the ancient capital at its base symbolize the Roman camp discovered in the area.
The plane is related to the activity of airplane pioneer Aurel Vlaicu, who was originally from Geoagi.
The mural crown with 3 crenellated towers means that the town has the status of a city.
