TÂRGU CĂRBUNEȘTI
District/county (județ) : Gorj
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on November 28, 2007.
The silver mountain represents the Cărbunele massif, which gives the name of the locality. The poppy flower evokes the heroism of the inhabitants who fell in the First World War.
The silver mural crown with three crenellated towers means that the town has the status of a city.
